Irene Huffstetler Roland, 92, of Cramerton passed away January 27, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 5, 1928 in Gaston County, a daughter of the late Fonz Henry Huffstetler and Lona Glover Huffstetler.
Irene retired from Parkdale Mills and was a lifelong member of Ranlo Church of God. She was a strong Christian woman and was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Irene is survived by her children, Charles William "Bill" Roland, Jr., Don Roland, and Vicky McDonald; sister, Bobby Ogden; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, and special friends Brenda, Edna,and Betty . In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Roland, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Karen Roland; son-in-law, Randy McDonald; siblings, Ruth Cloninger, Agnes Johnson, Coite Huffstetler, Carl Huffstetler, and Junior Huffstetler; and best friend, Aileen.
The family will receive friends at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 30, 2021. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm in the Founders Chapel with Dr. Simmons officiating. Committal will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ranlo Church of God, 1825 Spencer Mountain Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054.
