At the Community Nursing Home on Saturday, June 15, 2013. Lillian Ruth MacDonald (nee Hay) of Alexandria; age 91 years. Beloved wife of the late Donald “Dougy” Murray MacDonald. Loving mother of Warren MacDonald and Stanton MacDonald (Helen), and grandmother of Kerry, Keegan, Katie and Kody. Dear sister of Jean Hay, Iris Morrison (late John), Edwin (late Phoebe) and Kaye Hay, and sister in law of Duncan (Mary), and Hughie (Gertie). Predeceased by 5 brothers Alexander (Anna Margaret of Lochiel Rd.), George, Thomas, Lance and Hubert, by 2 sisters Gertrude and Violet, and by 1 brother in law Elmer (Inez of Alexandria). Dear daughter of the late Thomas Hay and the late Christina Ross. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service was held in the Chapel of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 1 pm. Interment followed in the Kirk Hill United Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Community Nursing Home, Alzheimer’s Society or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
