Mrs Sallie D McGlathery, 68, resident of Dallas for the last forty-five years and a member of the First Baptist Church in Dallas for twenty years, died Saturday at her home, 4720 San Jacinto Street.
With her husband, W P McGlathery, painter and paper hangr, she came to Dallas in 1884. They would have celebrated in August this year the fiftieth anniversary of their wedding. Mrs McGlathery was born in Grayson County, near Sherman, and had lived in Texas all of her life.
Surviving are her husband, three sons, Hugh L, Earl D and Leon, all of Dallas; three daughters, Mrs W H Lee, Mrs Shelby Ingram, both of Dallas, and Mrs R B Clifton, Mobile, AL; four sisters, Mrs Barbara Dudley, Dundee TX; Mrs W T Brown of Missouri, Mrs Mattie Hicks of Oklahoma, Mrs E C Darnell of Fort Worth, and a brother, B C Shacklett, Raton NM, and two grandchildren, Mrs C R Williams and D B Dennam.
