Obituary - A. Botzer

Arthur Edward Botzer, 82, of RD2 Sligo, died Friday morning, April 23, 1982, in Franklin Hospital. Born March 21, 1900, in Piney Township, he was a son of the late William and Alda Jane Courson Botzer. He was married March 17, 1926 to the former Iona Jane Dixon, who survives.
Mr. Botzer worked for 37 years as a coal miner before he retired. He was a past master of Murphy Grange and was currently serving as a grange officer.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by one son, Arthur Jr., of RD2 Sligo; three daughter, Mrs. Junior (Betty) Jones of Clarion, Mrs. James (Fern) Gourley of RD New Bethlehem; and Mrs. Clayton (Jean) Harriger of Belsano; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Mable Henry of Sligo. One brother, Harry, and one sister, Millie Greenawalt, preceded him in death.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday from the Cleo A. Hawk Funeral Home in Sligo with the Rev. Lewis Fox, retired Lutheran minister officiating. Burial was in MT. Zion Cemetery
