Bette June (Harris) Manning Logsdon Ardrey, 92, kept her appointment with God on January 20, 2021.

The family will greet friends and visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Bishop Funeral Service.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Bishop Chapel of Memories officiated by Pastor Steve Eldridge and Daniel Morrison. Burial will follow at Tannehill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Painter, Jared McLemore, Robbie Cocherhan, Loy Durbin, Dan Reagan, and Joey Ardrey.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jay Truly and Jay McLemore.

Bette was born in Neosho, Missouri on May 1, 1928 to Lawrence Edwin and Eula Jane (Stites) Harris. She attended and graduated from Goodman High School in Goodman, Missouri.

Bette, or "Nan," spent the majority of her time reading her bible, praying for others, and loving her family to include her animals which she fondly referred to as her children. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, mowing, and cooking. She is best known for all the entertaining stories she like to tell and her famous astronaut cookies she baked for the kids at school. She loved reminiscing about her childhood days.

Bette worked for many years at Elsing Manufacturing Company as a seamstress, and then worked for the Army Ammunition Depot in the storage area for approximately 10 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Lawrence and Eula (Stites) Harris; the father of her children: Elmer (Buddy) Manning; husband: LueBee Ardrey; son and daughter-in-law: Michael and Beth Manning; sisters: Marlene Bretz, Pauline Edmonds, Ruth Pogue, Alice Fleetwood; and brothers: Tom and Jimmy Harris.

Survivors include her daughter: Carol Painter and husband, Jimmy of Tannehill; stepson: Joey Ardrey (Bobbi) of Ada; grandchildren: Leslie Truly and husband, Jay of McAlester, Rebecca Cope of Norman, Julie Powell (Mike Baker) of McAlester, Jody Manning of Broken Arrow, Jaidi Painter of Tannehill, Jody Ardrey (Cindy) of Ada and Cody Ardrey (Ashleigh) of Ada; great-grandchildren: Justin McLemore (Stacy) of Hartshorne, Jared McLemore of McAlester, Madison Friesenegger of Denver, Joesef and Andrew Cope of Norman, Colton Powell (Amanda) of Tulsa, Sara Beth Collier (Ben) of McAlester, Stevi, Layla, Jada and Journi Ardrey; great-great-grandchildren: Ty, Skye, and Riley McLemore, and Beckett Collier; sisters: Henrietta Whitman of Neosho, Missouri, Carolyn Stipp of Springfield, Missouri; brother-in-law: John Fleetwood; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
