Mrs. Barbara V. Perry, a resident of Carroll County, died Saturday at 8.25 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rosa Freshman, Thurmont. Death resulted from pneumonia. She was in her seventy-fourth year.
Mrs. Perry had made her home with her son, Arthur A. Perry, New Windsor, and had gone to the home of her daughter only a few weeks ago on a visit. She was a daughter of the late George and Mary Izer, near Oak Orchard, and was a life-long member of the Brethren church. Surviving here are three sons, Arthur A. Perry, New Windsor, Rev. C. E. Perry, Rockford, Conn., and Clifton A. Perry, Hagerstown; two daughters, Mrs. Minnie Dulchaun, Hagerstown, and Mrs. Rosa Freshman, Thurmont; several grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Alexander, Oak Orchard, and Mrs. Alice Rigler, New Windsor.
The body was taken to the home of her son, Arthur, at New Windsor, Saturday night. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, meeting at the house at 10 o'clock with further services in the Pipe Creek Church of the Brethren, near Uniontown. Elder John J. John, New Windsor, and Elder A. B. Miller, Hagerstown, officiated. The pallbearers were Charles Spellman, Edward Stuller, T. Kurtz Warner, John Stone, William Bowers and Howard Taylor.
