Anna Mary Burris, 93, of Centre Hall, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on Monday, December 18, 2017. Born on March 28, 1924, in Centre Hall, she was the daughter of the late Orvis C. and Phoebe E. Rauchua Meyer. She was married to Walter E. Auman in 1943. He passed away in 1956. She then married Melvin G. Burris in 1958. He passed away in 1984.

Mary was a 1942 graduate of Centre Hall-Potter High School. She was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed being a personal care giver to many people in the Centre Hall area. She liked visiting with family and friends, shopping, and sewing.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Joy L. Decker and her husband, Alan, of Centre Hall, and her son, Barry A. Auman of Sands Flat, North Carolina. Also surviving are her three grandchildren, Tammy, Sheila, and Julie, five great grandchildren including Thomas Henry, and numerous great-great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and two husbands, Mary was preceded in death by one grandson, Todd Spearly, and four sisters; Edna Meyer, Beulah McCool, Dorothy Royer, and Ethel Snyder. Mary was the last of her generation.
