Dorothy M. Royer January 19, 1922 October 11, 2016 Dorothy M. Royer, 94, of Centre Hall, died Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. She was born January 19, 1922, in Centre Hall, a daughter of the late Orvis C. and Ella P. Rachau Meyer. On March 31, 1936, she married Harry E. Royer who preceded her in death on October 7, 1994. Mrs. Royer enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with family. Surviving Mrs. Royer is one daughter, Judith A. Taylor and her husband (Calvin J.); three grandchildren, Jonathan and Joseph Taylor and Melanie Haupt; four great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Burris, of Centre Hall and Edna Mae Meyer, of Bellefonte. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three children, Bonnie J. Geise, Michael "Mike" Royer and William L. Haupt. Private funeral services will be at the convenience of the family with the Reverend David Downer officiating. Burial will be in the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery, W. Church St., Centre Hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Centre County PAWS, 1401 Trout Road, State College, PA 16801.
