Doris Yarbrough Thomas, daughter of James A. Yarbrough, Sr. and Addie M. Yarbrough was called home to her Heavenly Father, January 19,2021, after serving God and her family faithfully for 83 years.

She was a 1956 graduate of Commercial High School in Savannah, GA. In 1961, she married Carroll Ray Thomas and raised three daughters.

She was a believer who worshiped at First Baptist Church, Bloomingdale, Ga. There, she served as a Sunday School teacher, GA teacher, VBS teacher and faithfully kept Sunday School records for many years until her health kept her home.

She is survived by her loving husband, Carroll R. Thomas, of 59 years and daughters, Stacey Thomas Bolton (Eric), Amy Thomas Blackstock (Wallace), and Marcy Thomas Rowe (Jason). She was also blessed with loving grandchildren, Luke Blackstock (Emily), Erica Bolton Diffenderfer (James) of California, Olivia Bolton, living abroad, Addie Blackstock, and Jude Rowe. In addition, she is survived by two great grandchildren, Eloise and Beck. She also has many loved nephews and nieces.

Preceded in death are her parents; brothers, James A. Yarbrough Jr. and Gene Yarbrough; and sisters, Frances Webb and Mary Ann Waters.

Memorial service will be held at 2p.m. on Saturday, January 23rd at First Baptist Bloomingdale, Bloomingdale, Ga.

It is the family’s wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to First Baptist Church, Bloomingdale, Ga.
