Mrs. Frances was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming to the late James Alonzo & Addie Mae Yarbrough. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elder J. Lindy Webb, Sr.; a son, Ricky Wayne Webb; a granddaughter, Shandy R. Webb; a sister, Mary Ann Waters; two brothers, Gene Yarbrough, and Jimmy Yarbrough.
She was an active member of the Primitive Baptist Preacher Wives Association, as well as a faithful member, and supporter of the Primitive Baptist Youth Camp at Hillview for many years. She was involved with the American Red Cross Water Rescue Team in the 1940’s, and taught swimming lessons for many years at the Port Wentworth and Travis Field pools.
Survivors include her children, Elder J. Lindy Webb, Jr. (Amanda), Gary A. Webb (Karla), Elder Ronny W. Webb (Marie), Wanda W. Ray (James), and Dennis Brannon (Pat); 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Thomas (Ray); sister-in-law, Rose Yarbrough, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Memorial Hospital, and Ogeechee Area Hospice for the care given to Mrs. Frances.
The visitation will be on Monday from 6-8 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. The funeral will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Elder Mike Newman, and Elder Richard Davis officiating. Mrs. Frances’ grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. All Primitive Baptist preacher’s and their wives will serve as honorary pallbearers. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
