Cathy Townsend was a proud Okie from Muskogee who was born March 2, 1945.

On January 16, 2021, she went to join her husband Guy Townsend and her parents Mary and Lenard Farrar in heaven.

She moved to Stillwater in 2011 with her husband so they could enjoy their grandsons and as she said "not miss a thing" . This family did not disappoint.

She attended every Special Olympic bowling event Lennett did and every party at MPOWER; she was so proud of Lennett.

Highlights for her were watching Alleyn in band, followed up by catching him at work. She loved ice cream, so Braum's was always on her go-to list. She loved attending Brandon's baseball games and going to see his cows (she loved the fact he was doing something her dad and grandfather did – raising cattle). And of course the baby Collen, the fact he also played baseball was a bonus, but she especially loved his competitive cooking at the Payne County Fair. She was always more nervous than he was. She was so proud of everything they did.

Her favorite thing about moving to Stillwater, besides her family, was OSU...she was a fan! She attended OSU Tailgate parties and met what she considered her best friends there. She also attended as many games as she should, always cheering (loudly) on an OSU WIN!!

She is survived by her immediate family in Stillwater, daughters Collett Campbell and Lennett Birgam; her favorite son-in- law Maury Campbell; and her amazing (just ask her) triplet grandsons Alleyn, Brandon and Collen Campbell. She is also survived by her beloved cousin Linda Moore of Pryor, OK and her baby brother Lenard Farrar of Parker, AZ.

Her final Tailgate Party (graveside services) will be held Wednesday, January 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Strode Funeral Home.
