Obituary

Aurora, Utah - Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, neighbor and friend returned home to his Heavenly Father January 15, 2021 at his home in Aurora.

Milen was born September 25, 1932 in Koosharem, Utah the middle of seven children born to Elmer Levi and Leona Winget Torgersen. Milen married Velma Louisa Albrecht of Fremont, Utah in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, August, 30, 1956.

Milen worked for Gershnees Steel in Salt Lake City, Utah and for the Utah Department of Highways in Richfield, and Salina, Utah. After retirement he worked part time for Aurora City, in maintaining the beauty of Aurora.

Milen loved the mountains and had a deep love of horses.

Every opportunity he had, he spent in the mountains, riding his horse over many mountain ranges and valleys. He had many friends that he rode with for a day ride or camping and sharing memories and knowledge. His favorite was the round up in the fall, gathering the cattle with his cowboy friends. He was always happy when he had his cowboy boots on and was on one of his horses, that was his heaven.

It brings us peace knowing that he had lived, grown, learned, progressed, enjoyed, shared, helped, influenced, served, loved, inspired and that he had done his best.

Milen was a devoted husband and father who gave his best energy and talents to make sure his family had every opportunity to succeed. He loved family and family times together.
Milen is survived by his loving wife, Velma, of Aurora; four loving daughters. Debra ((Gayland Larsen), Dalene (Troy Hallows), all of Aurora, Cheryl (Deran Bosshardt), Redmond, Sheila (Dan Black), Ephraim, He is the grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren whom he enjoyed and loved so greatly. He is also survived by siblings: Lois (Don Brown, deceased) and Delbert Christensen of West Jordan, and Thad (Cleola, deceased) Torgersen of Cedar City.
