Ellen Louise Addington passed away peacefully in Allentown, PA on January 14, 2021 at the age of 97.

Born Ellen Louise Fuller on August 10, 1923 in Hartford City IN, Louise was the only child of Earl and Ada Wilson Fuller. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, the Reverend Robert Dale Addington. She is survived by their three loving sons Donald Paul Addington (Atlanta GA), Dwight Lynn Addington (Schnecksville PA) and DeWayne Dale Addington (Atlanta GA).

She is also survived and beloved by six grandchildren; Michelle Doughty, Donald Addington II, Joshua Addington, Wesley Addington, Taylor Addington and Ellie Addington; and six great-grandchildren.

Louise lived a life of purpose. She and Robert married in Muncie IN in 1944. Over the next 50 years as he pastored Wesleyan churches in Indiana, Michigan and Pennsylvania and served as District Superintendent of the Western PA District, together they touched hundreds of lives everywhere they ministered. As she supported this calling Louise provided friendship, a strong shoulder and wise counsel to many. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, and many of her recipes are at the center of family traditions that are now treasured by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a ready laugh, a regal bearing, and a twinkle in her eye.

Because so many people wish to celebrate Louise's life, a memorial service will be planned in the Fall when we can gather together. Meanwhile, arrangements and cremation are private under the direction of Schisler Funeral Home in Northampton PA.

Louise's family rejoices in her mark on this world, and her promise of eternal life in heaven.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Fellowship Manor, and the doctors and nurses at St. Luke's Hospital for their dedicated care during these difficult times.
