ALVIN MCPIKE

Dies at Home of His Brother in Sycamore Sunday

Alvin McPike, aged sixtynine years, passed away at the home of his brother, Albert McPike, north of Sycamore at 5:30 o'clock Sunday morning following an eight weeks' illness of complications.

The deceased was born on February 15, 1867 the son of the late Jacob and Mary Milum McPike in Tymochtee township. He was married to Sarah Emma Parker some years ago. Mrs. McPike preceded her husband in death. Three brothers, Albert McPike, of north of Sycamore; John McPike, of Bellevernon, and Isaac McPike, of Bellevernon, and one sister, Mrs. Ward Pontius, of Iowa, survive. One brother and one sister are deceased.

Mr. McPike was a farmer by occupation. He was a former resident of Bellevernon and had resided with his brother only one month preceding his death. He leaves many friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Staum & Moore funeral home in Sycamore and at 2 o'clock at the Bellevernon Evangelical church with Rev. H. M. Maurer in charge. Interment will be made in the Pleasant Ridge cemetery.
