Wilfred "Goofy" Chacón, age 75 went home with the Lord on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.
Wilfred was preceded in death by his parents, George and Trinie Chacón, brothers, Henry Chacón and Kelly Chacón and sister, Shirley Lovato.
Wilfred is survived by his children, Greg Chacón, Lisa López and her husband, John López, Stephen "Bullets" Chacón and his wife, Cindy Chacón and Ann Marie Silva and her husband, Carlos Silva, 15 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, 18 step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his best friend for 70 years, Yvette Wise, Henry Chávez and his wife, Irene Chávez, sister-in-law, Katy Chacón, brother-in-law, Ruben Lovato and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Goofy was a member of Scared Heart Catholic Church and retired from the Department of Workforce Solutions.
Goofy enjoyed spending time with his family at the lake.
A Mass of Resurrection with Father Broussard will take place on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 610 Copper Ave. NW. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
