Nathan married Elizabeth Willis in 1708. They settled in South Bridgewater. They had children:
Susanna b. 1709
Sarah b. 1712

Mitchell's book states that Nathaniel Woodward may have been from Taunton and that his surname may have originally been Woodworth. Possibly the son of John Woodworth of Taunton. Like many surnames of the times, may have had a duel pronunciation, Woodward/Woodworth.

Sources: History of Bridgewater by Nahum Mitchell, page 365 and 373 (pub. 1840, 1897, 1970, 1975) and Epitaphs in Old Bridgewater Massachusetts by Williams Latham (pub. 1882).
