Ellettsville - Services for Luther "Rassie" Malicoat, 93, of Ellettsville, formerly of Freedom, who died Thursday at Bloomington Hospital, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at West and Parrish and Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer with the Rev. Ray Unger officiating. Burial will be in Gross Cemetery.

Born May 13, 1895, in Owen County, he was the son of Joel and Rebecca (Crum) Malicoat. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two daughters, Leona Carter of Bowling Green, and Mary Freeman of Connersville; two sons, Donald Malicoat and Charles Malicoat, both of Spencer; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Flora (Pegg) Malicoat, who died in 1972; one sister, two half-brothers and two grandsons.

Friends may call 2-8 p.m. today at West and Parrish and Pedigo Funeral Home at Spencer.
