James Robert Church, age 83, of Connelly Springs, NC, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Autumn Care of Drexel in Morganton, NC. He was born on August 1, 1937 in Icard, NC to the late Clyde William Church and Zenia Elma Hilton Church. James was a United States Army Veteran and then worked as a self-employed repairman. He loved fishing and gardening in his spare time.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Johnny Church and Clyde Church, Jr.; and sister, Julia Church Albright Duckworth. James is survived by brothers, Fred Church of Hickory, NC and Billy Joe Church of Augusta, GA.
There will be no service held at this time. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the Church Family.
