Bobby Wayne Perry

El Paso - Bobby W. Perry, adoring husband, devoted father, dapper dresser, pilot, skydiver, skilled backpacker and accomplished traveler went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday afternoon, December 29, 2020, at the age of 85 years old.

Bobby was born January 17, 1935, in Alice, Texas, the son of Wayne Edgar Perry and Mattie Elizabeth (Cantor) Perry. Bobby graduated from San Angelo Senior High School, Class of 1953. Following graduation, he moved to Austin, Texas in 1955 where he served with the United States Marine Corps, 4th Division. Bobby took pride in his service in the Marine Corps League and was the founding Commandant of the El Paso Young Marines Program.

He studied Advertising at the University of Texas at Austin, where he met the love of his life, Maria Cristina Josefa Wisbrun (Cristina). After a romantic courtship, Bobby married Cristina in the Trinity-First United Methodist Church of El Paso, Texas, September 10, 1960 and settled in El Paso, Texas. As Seniors, Bobby & Cristina became members of Sun Valley Baptist Temple, which they both loved.

Bobby travelled extensively. He travelled to Europe, Hawaii and throughout parts of the United States. He especially loved to travel by train and backpack across the majestic mountains and forested hills of the Gila National Forrest in New Mexico.

Bobby learned to fly a Cessna plane and would occasionally take his two children, Michelle and Michael to visit his parents in San Angelo, Texas. He also began skydiving at the age of 45 years old, where he was affectionately known as "Chicken Man" to his skydiving friends.

Bobby was a joyful person and had a wonderful sense of humor; he could sure make you laugh! He was a loving and caring man, who left a permanent mark etched on our hearts forever. Bobby will be forever missed, but knew Christ as his Savior and has a home in heaven with him.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Cristina Wisbrun Perry, are his daughter Michelle C. Perry and her husband Jacob Rodriguez, his son Michael W. Perry and his wife Debbie; two grand-children, Jacob and Baylee Perry; and his two brothers whom he loved dearly Ronnie and David Perry.

A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at 4 P.M. Friday, January 8th at Sun Valley Baptist Temple, 9901 McCombs St, El Paso, TX, 79924.
