Rachel Wood was born Feb. 7, 1844, in Dayton Co., Ohio.

On Aug. 16, 1863, she was married to Wm. Hardy, who preceded her in death seven years ago.

To them were born ten children, five sons and five daughters, all of who are living except on daughter who died in 1911.

She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert Barrington, in the town of Reseburg, Clark County, Wis., on Saturday, Aug. 6, 1927, at the age of eighty-three years and six months.

Besides her sons and daughters she leaves to mourn her loss, one brother, forty-three grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren and a host of friends.

The funeral was held from the Congregational Church of Reseburg on Tuesday. Six grandsons, Richard Owen, Pirl Hill, Chester and Roger Hardy and Albert and Forest Burrington were pallbearers, and Mabel Hardy, Ruby and Irene Bobb, granddaughter and great-granddaughters, carried the flowers.
