Charles Lee Hardy, a resident of Reseburg Township, Wisconsin for the last 60 years, was called home to his Lord on April 30, 1960 while a patient at the Victory Memorial Hospital in Stanley. Charles is the son of William Mulberry Hardy and Rachel Elizabeth Wood; he was born on September 26, 1874 in Eagle, Wisconsin. Mr. Hardy married Sarah Theresa Nelson on November 25, 1903 in Cherokee, Iowa.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 2 at the Thorp Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ralph Claybaugh, pastor of the Reseburg Congregational Church, which Charles was an active member.
Charles is survived by wife Sarah; five sons, Chester Allen of Marshfield, Philip Leslie of Pine Grove, Pennsylvania; Earl Nelson of Milwaukee; Lawrence Willard of the home; Roger Russell of Chester, Pennsylvania; Maybelle Olive, wife of Herbert Franklin Wheeler of Illinois. Charles is also survived by two sisters, Pollie May, wife of James W Fazel of Richard Center, Wisconsin and Mrs. Maggie Owen of Waukesha; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren to cherish the memory of Charles.
