Funeral services for George Moffitt, 85, well and favorably known retired farmer of this community were held in the Bouton Memorial Home with Rev. Richard Mader of the Princeville Methodist Church in charge.
Burial was in the Princeville Cemetery. Pallbearers were James DeBord, Ray Belford, Lyle Engle, Dave Smith, Fred Belford and Henry DeBord.
He was born in Jubilee Township February 7, 1874, a son of Francis and Caroline Lawrence Moffitt and passed away Sunday night following a long illness.
He was united in marriage to Nettie Smith in 1901. She preceded him in death.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Tom Camp of Princeville, a son, Leo Sniff of Speer, two sisters, Mrs. May Hill of Princeville and Mrs. Carrie Wilson of Silverdale Wash.
