After three days of illness, William Burk, three-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bryon DeBord, living northwest of Princeville succumbed to infantile paralysis Sunday morning a 4 o'clock.
Billy, as he was intimately know by members of his family and close friends, made a brave fight against the dread disease, but all that loving hands and medical skill could do was of no avail. During the few days that intervened between the time that the disease was diagnosed and the time death came, he was tenderly cared after. Many sympathizing friends awaited anxiously for the a turn for the better had been made but it was no to be so.
William Burk DeBord was born January 29, 1922 and departed this life July 19, 1925, aged 3 years, 5 months and 20 days.
Besides his loving parents, he leaves to mourn his untimely departure, two brothers Richard and Robert, besides many other relatives and friends.
Private funeral services were held from the late home Monday afternoon, Rev. John Acheson officiating and the remains were laid to rest in Princeville cemetery.
