Harry Jackson “Jack” Linkous, 87, of Pulaski, Va., died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, in Fairlawn, Va.

He was born Aug. 31, 1928, in Pulaski, the son of the late Archibald Linkous and Alberta Hodge Linkous. He loved fishing and hunting grouse and hummingbirds, and working in the yard.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Linkous, and two brothers, Carlyle Linkous and Douglas Linkous.

Surviving are sons Ronald J. Linkous and Deborah of Chester, Va., and their children, Veronica and Nora, Richard T. “Tim” Linkous and Beckie of Pulaski, and Jeffrey C. Linkous of Pulaski and his children Heather and Trevor; daughters Donna Linkous Felton of Pulaski, Lisa Wingo and husband Robert of Manassas and their children Justin, Lucas and Victoria “Tori” Wingo, and Jonathan L. Wingo and wife Roslyn and their children Olivia and Madison; sisters Violet and Larry White of Pulaski, and Jane and Edward Pence of Chesapeake, Va., and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin, Va. Visiting will be 1 p.m. Thursday until the service hour at the funeral home where the family will receive friends.

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
