Bovill -- Dorothy Etta Smith, 75, a resident here for 52 years, died Tuesday morning at Spokane's Sacred Heart Hospital. No information was available on cause of death.

Mrs. Smith was born Dec. 27, 1908, at Kenmare, N.D.. She married Col. William Smith at St. Joe Oct. 22, 1926. Smith worked out of Bovill for the railroad, Potlatch Forests, Inc. and the Idaho Department of Transportation. He died June 8, 1972.

Mrs. Smith enjoyed crocheting, knitting and embroidering, crossword puzzles, bingo and reading.

Survivors include two daughters, Leota Calen McIntyre of Spokane and Jessie Mae Linderman of Bovill; a sister, Jane Howard of Burnaby, B.C., Canada; a step-sister, Juanita Schwartzman of Superior, Mont.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Moscow City Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Hammond of the Bovill Presbyterian Church officiating. The family requests that memorials be given to the Bovill Presbyterian Church. Short's Chapel of Moscow is in charge of arrangements.
