Marie was born on September 30, 1940 in Beulah, ND to Frank and Mary (Oelke) Buschbacher. She was raised and educated in Zap, ND. Marie was united in marriage to Melvin Boeshans on September 3, 1957. They made their home in Dickinson and Mandan prior to moving to Minot, ND in October of 1963 when Melvin became the purchasing agent for John Iverson Company. Marie and Mel worked at the Moose Lodge. Marie was employed at Mitchell’s Hardware Store as well. Her number one passion was the care of her husband and children. Melvin passed away June 16, 2012.
Marie and Melvin enjoyed many trips throughout the United States and also traveled to Africa and Europe. The winter months were spent in Mesa, AZ for sixteen plus years where Marie especially enjoyed playing cards, darts, bocce ball and reading, and attending dances with her husband. In her younger years she enjoyed family time, camping, fishing, cooking and baking.
Marie’s loving family includes her children: Diane (Roy) Lutz, Jeff Boeshans, Brian Boeshans; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Mary (Hinsz) Buschbacher and Frank Buschbacher; her infant twin sister, Marliss Buschbacher; her sisters and brother, and also her brothers-in-law, and sister-in-law: Olga (Gerhard) Walz, Eugene (Gerty) Hinsz, Rachel (Delmont) Sagmiller, LaVerna (Waldemar) Maas, Eldora (Ted) Tesky, and Esther (Elmer) Weigum; and husband Melvin, and son: Gregory Boeshans.
