Mary Jo Ann Hunt went to heaven on December 27, 2020. She was born November 19, 1939 in Oklahoma City, to Cecil and Dollie (Lane) Ramage.
Jo Ann was a 1958 graduate of Southeast High School. She also graduated with her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Central State University. She was a 5th & 6th grade English teacher and was named Who’s Who Among American Teachers, Teacher of the Year (at each school) while teaching in the Western Heights and Oklahoma City school districts. She retired in 1999, after teaching for 38 years. She was also a member of KKI, holding all officer positions during her membership.
Jo Ann was reunited in heaven with her best friend and husband of 30+ years Bobby Hunt. From this love story, they were blessed with a son and daughter. She leaves behind son Bobby Hunt II and wife April; daughter Stacy Williams and husband Mike; grandchildren Parker, Preston, Brooke and many nieces and nephews.
Jo Ann loved to participate in her kids’ and grandkids’ extracurricular activities. She also loved to travel, attend musicals, go to the movies and going out to eat.
Special thanks to my close friends-Betty & Peggy, who awaited me in heaven, and my surviving friend Barbara.
We highly encourage everyone to watch the service live from the safety of their home. You can join the livestream through Jo Ann’s online memorial www.ChapelHill-OKC.com
