Donna J. Simonson, 78 of Brazil, passed away December 26, 2020 at 4:00pm at Harrison Crossing. She was born October 15, 1942 in Clay County, the daughter of Richard Archer and Agnes Head Archer. She graduated from Brazil High School. As a young girl she worked and helped care for her younger brothers. In the early 1970’s she began Tiny Tot Day Care. She later worked as a bus driver for Clay Community School Corporation. In the 1980’s she worked as a lab technician for Pfizer and Company in Terre Haute.
Donna was united in marriage to Philip Simonson and together they blended their children together. They were members of the First Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Agnes Archer; one brother Rick Archer, and one son, Mark Simonson.
Survivors include her husband Philip Simonson; children, Wendell and Isabel Minnick, Tonya and Chris Pierce, Tracy Brookshire, Todd and Alyse Simonson, David and Stephanie Simonson, and Doug and Amy Simonson; grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, Thea, Raven, Tori, Phil, Abe, Arizona, Korie, Teeaira, Tiesha, Kaegan, Devon, Cody, and Jake. Great-granchildren, William, Waylon, Wade, Isaiah, Nevaeh, Aria, Crimson, Clover, and Brooks; brothers, Mike Archer and Reggie Archer (Lynn); and other extended family.
Burial : Roselawn Memorial Park in Terre Haute.
