ARCHER, RICHARD LEROY -, age 66 of Knoxville, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 28, 2013 at his home. A loving husband and father, he was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. A devoted Green Bay Packer's fan, he loved football, the Smoky Mountains and truly enjoyed living here in Tennessee. Richard was born in Brazil, Indiana and attended St. Anthony's School of Radiologic Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana. He worked his entire life in the diagnostic medical imaging, first as a radiologic technologist, then as supervisor of a radiology department and then as an ultrasound technologist. Richard recently retired to enjoy his hobbies of photography, astronomy, wood working, reading and playing his guitar. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and Richard Archer. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Ann Archer of Knoxville, TN; son, Paul Archer of Brownsburg, Indiana; daughters, Janette Simons of Brownsburg, Indiana and Heather Ann Archer of Nashville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Kyle Dickson and Kalyn Dickson; brothers, Michael Archer of Brazil, Indiana and Reggie (Lynn Archer of Webster City, Iowa; sister, Donna (Phil) Simonson of Englewood, Florida. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday at Grace Lutheran Church with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM, with Pastor Richard Elseroad officiating. Graveside service will be 10:00 AM Monday in the Highland Memorial Chapel Mausoleum. Online condolences may be sent to www.rosemortuary.com.
