Aleen May Steadman Smith, 88, passed away on December 20, 2020 at her home in West Jordan after a four year battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on July 18, 1932 in West Jordan, Utah to Elmer E. and Lottie Parry Steadman.

She graduated from Jordan High School in Sandy, Utah. She married Eugene T. Smith in 1950 and later divorced. She retired from Associated Food Stores, Inc. July 1988.

She was an athlete and played fast pitch softball, bowling and golf. She won many senior titles with her golf partner Nellie Allred. St George and Mesquite were her favorite places in recent years.

Aleen is survived by her sons, Ricky (Shelley) Smith of Roy and Greg (June) Smith of Midvale, brother Norman (Donna) Steadman of Riverton and sister Coleen Graham of Bountiful; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Douglas and Darrel.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 10:00 am at the Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State St., Midvale, Utah. A viewing will precede it at 9:00 am. Interment, West Jordan Cemetery, 7925 S 1300 W.

The family would like to thank Inspiration Hospice nurses and aides for taking care of mom in her last few days.
