Darlene Mary Daniels "Mom"

Darlene Mary Daniels, 74, passed away August 9, 2005 in Murray, Utah surrounded by her family.

Born March 24, 1931 in Price, Utah, daughter of Evan Andrew and Sariah Pulsipher Lewis. Married Sixtus Ellsworth Daniels April 14, 1951 in Castlegate, Utah; solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple September 24, 1955. He preceded her in death Feb. 2, 1977.

We were very fortunate to have such a caring mother, even if it was for only a short time. Though it caused her pain, she loved us enough to allow us to make our own mistakes so that we could learn from them, and she was always there to offer support no matter what. When our father passed away, she sacrificed so much to be there for us, working nights so she could be home during the day. She was an amazing example of strength and courage. Even as her health declined she rarely complained or felt sorry for herself, she always tried to make the best of her situation. I hope that as she watches over us, we can make her proud by living up to the example she has set for us.

Survived by children: Buddy E. Daniels, Riverton; Laural (Mark) Bowers, Riverton; Kory R. Daniels, South Salt Lake; Staci (Kevin) Blaine, West Jordan; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by son, Kent L. Daniels; daughter, Janice.

The family would like to thank the staff of Cottonwood Hospital ICU for their care and compassion.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11a.m. at the Riverton Central Stake Center, 12852 South 3200 West. A viewing will be held Friday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church, 10-10:45 prior to services. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
