Solomon Cruz Advincula, Sr., 98, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away on December 23, 2020. Born in the Philippines, he was the son of the late Jose and Paula Advincula. He retired as a Scout from the Philippine Army and was also a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.

In addition to his parents, Solomon was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia Advincula and son, Solomon, Jr. Left to cherish his memory: two daughters, Edna Hanopol (Reynaldo) and Rebecca Phee (Anthony); daughter-in-law, Socorro Advincula; three granddaughters, Sharlene Mendoza, Sherill Beng (Matthew) and Toni-Anne Phee; and seven great-grandchildren, Genevieve, Kincayd, Luke, Ronin, Layla, Claire, and Troy.

The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Princess Anne Chapel on Sunday, Dec. 27, from 1 to 2 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. followed by interment at Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
