Born in Caridad, Cavite, Philippines, he was a retired Machinist Mate from the U.S. Navy after 21 years of service. He was a member of Princess Anne Plaza Baptist Church.
Solomon was preceded in death by his mother, Amelia Cruz Advincula. Left to cherish his memory: his wife, Socorro P. Advincula; two daughters, Sharlene Mendoza and Sherill Beng (Matthew), all of Virginia Beach; his father, Solomon Cruz Advincula, Sr.; two sisters, Edna Hanopol (Reynaldo) and Rebecca Phee (Anthony); six grandchildren, Genevieve, Kincayd, Luke, Ronin, Layla, and Claire; and a niece, Toni-Anne.
The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Princess Anne Chapel on Thursday, November 15, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday, November 16, 2018, from 10 to 11 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
