Obituary:

CHILLICOTHE – Verona W. Gronewold, 67, formerly of 1408 N. Hoyt St., died at 8:05 a.m. Monday at the Kewanee Convalescent Center where she had been a resident since 1972.

She was born Aug. 3, 1920, in Trivoli to Alvin F. and Clara C. Grafelman Gronewold.

Surviving are her mother of Chillicothe, two brothers, Wayne of Dunlap and Kenneth of Chillicothe, and two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Helen) Carroll of Chillicothe and Mrs. Robert (Carol) Caldwell of Edelstein.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Weber Funeral Home, where visitation will be from 7 to 8 tonight. The Rev. Benjamin Davis will officiate, and burial will be in Washington Glendale Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Chillicothe.
