Obituary for Opal Frazier
Opal Frazier 86, a lifelong Rushville area resident, passed away December 10, 2020 in Batesville. Opal was born December 18, 1933 in Rushville to Benjamin F. & Florence E. (Hatfield) McCarty. She married Cecil M. Frazier on February 7, 1948 and he preceded her in death February 11, 1984.
Opal was a cook many years at Wilhelm's, the Durbin, the Rush County Home and the K of C. She was a homemaker to her family which she loved dearly. Opal enjoyed helping out at the Salvation Army in Rushville. She always looked forward to a cruise in the country and a trip to the casino!
She will be sadly missed by her family. Survivors include her son; Richard, her daughters; Misty (Gregg) Burris and Diana (Edwin) Daugherty all of Rushville, brothers; John (Onita) McCarty of Iowa, Charles "Butch" (Janet) McCarty of AZ and Bill McCarty of Rushville, sisters; Phyllis Frazier of Rushville, Blanche "Bonnie" Glover of Idaho and Charlotte Stevens of Rushville, several grand, great grand & great-great grandchildren will also miss her. Opal was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son; Estel Allen Frazier, daughters; Teresa Frazier & Judith Kay Frazier McDonald, stillborn brother; Philip McCarty, sisters; Rita, stillborn Virginia, Sheila, Mary & Lou Ella and grandson; Eddie Daugherty.
Services will be held at 1 PM Monday, December 14, 2020 in Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Pastor John Wall presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family in the mortuary on Monday from 11 AM until time of service. Burial will be in the Rushville East Hill Cemetery.
