love of her life, Earl Phillips. They married on May 12, 1948 and made their home in Fort Worth, Texas.
Deanie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, always putting
the needs of others above her own. She lived from day to day the
life she believed in with a gentle and kind heart. She enjoyed
spending time with her family and friends. She cherished the role
of homemaker. Some of her favorite moments were spent
surrounded by loved ones, sewing, cooking and working in the
garden.
Throughout the years, she was active in church, serving as a
Sunday School Director, Sunday School teacher, participating in
prayer groups, Bible studies and serving where she was needed.
For many years she worked beside her husband in the family
business.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Philips;
daughter, Joann Halyard; and grandson, Forrest Halyard.
Survivors: Daughters, Janet Hughes and husband, Jaime and
Judy Pastusek and husband, Louis; grandchildren, Charles
Halyard and wife, Sarah, Jordan Halyard, Jaclyn Cano and
husband, John, John Hughes and wife, Daena, Jessica
