Jessie F. Barnhart, 87, of Kiefer, passed from this life Saturday, December 12, 2020. There will be a visitation from 5:00-7:00pm, Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville. Services will be 2:30pm, Thursday, December 17, 2020 also at Traditions Funeral Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, Oklahoma, 918-247-7373.

Jessie was born in Branson, Missouri to Ira D. Boyd and Myrtle J. Gillham Boyd on November 17, 1933. She graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1951. Jessie worked as a professional secretary, and later managed the office of her husband’s construction company Barnhart Construction, until retirement. She married Bernard Herbert Barnhart in 1965. They were long-time residents of Kiefer.

Jessie enjoyed fishing and camping with her husband, and they loved to travel together. She was an accomplished artist and held a fine appreciation for antiquities. She was a natural helper, and a woman of strength, setting wonderful examples in both areas. Jessie loved entertaining family and was always up for an adventure with her grandchildren.

Jessie was preceded in death by her husband Bernard; parents, Ira and Myrtle; siblings, Maxine Gilley, Christine Page, Dora Boyd, Homer Boyd, George Boyd, Kenneth Boyd, Ruby Jones, Cleo Boyd, and Carl Boyd.

Jessie is survived by her children Terrilynn and Danny Lackey, Brent and Carla Barnhart and Cindy Columbia; siblings Shirley Gibbs and Nell Morgan; niece Sheila and Roy Long; grandchildren Trevor & Tresa Lackey, Alaina and Tibor Szlavy, Stephenie and Josh Butterfield, Ashley & Corey Naifeh, and Drew and Daniela Columbia; great-grandchildren Daisy Budgick, Evan Szlavy, Ellery Naifeh, Dash Naifeh, Van Butterfield, Edin Butterfield, Chloe Szlavy, and Ophelia Naifeh and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
