In addition to farming since 1975, Gary was a Master Electrician, who owned and operated “Gary’s Electric” in Redwood Falls. He continued to actively work and farm until his death. Gary enjoyed going to the lake, attending farm and toy auctions, tinkering in his shop, and watching westerns and his favorite TV shows: CHIPS; Gunsmoke; Bonanza; and Walker, Texas Ranger.

Gary was survived by his children, Scott Goblirsch and Kelly (Jason) Steffl, both of Redwood Falls; grandchildren, Shawn (Desiree) Goblirsch of Shakopee, Sarah Goblirsch of Sterling, Colorado, Trevor (Brianna) Goblirsch of Redwood Falls, and Kaitlin and Alexa Steffl of Redwood Falls; great-grandchildren, Kylee, Devin, Jayce, Kade, Fletcher, Thompson, and Hendrix; and siblings, Robert “Bob” Goblirsch of Olivia, Ruthy Sturgill of Alexandria, Virginia, Richard “Dick” (Kathy) Goblirsch of Deerwood, Minnesota, Darlene (Jerry) Woods in Canada, and Daryl (Linda) Goblirsch of Olivia.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Alvina Goblirsch; wives, Sandra Kay Lothert Goblirsch, Sandra Kay Palmer Goblirsch, and Jeanne Marie Paulsen Goblirsch; an infant brother; sister-in-law, Donna Goblirsch; and brother-in-law, Art Sturgill.
Visitation was held on Friday, 18 December 2020, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, and continued on Saturday, 19 December, at the church for one hour prior to the service.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, 19 December 2020, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. Burial followed in St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery near Redwood Falls, Minnesota.
