CAROFF – William, L., 90, Salix, went to be with the Lord on December 8, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center. Born August 3, 1930 in Dunlo, son of James Joseph and Letitia Mae Caroff. Preceded in death by parents, son, Michael C. and brothers, James A., Dr. Romuald J., Attorney Gilbert E. and his wife, Julie and George F. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary K. (Bowers) Caroff; sons, James J. (Lori A. Lattin, fiancé), William G. and Michael's fiancé, Maureen B. Carroll; sisters, Theresa Caroff, Sarah McElfresh, and sisters-in-laws, Barbara Foy Caroff, Carol Merritt Caroff and Betty Schuster Caroff; brother-in-law, Dr. William H. and wife, Susan Bowers, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Bill was a graduate of Forest Hills High School and University of Pittsburgh where he received a Master's Degree in Biology. He was a US Army 82nd Airborne Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Bill retired from the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office after many years of service. He enjoyed life's little pleasures such as spending time with family and Zoey his golden doodle, gardening, horse training, and working on tractors. He was a devout man and his greatest pleasure was helping others. Those lucky enough to be loved by Bill will remember him singing a song and sharing stories. A special thanks to Romuald J. Caroff who helped Bill and his family tremendously for many years. A post Covid19 service will be announced at a later date. Cremation by Laurel Highlands Crematory at Harris Funeral Home.
