Marshall Kenneth "Ken" Binkley, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 4, 2020 in Burleson, Texas.
Ken was born June 18, 1927, in Crane, Texas to the late Marshall and Maud Binkley and was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during WWII.
He married Vera Louise Wade on April 18, 1947 in Kerrville, Texas.
He was an active member of the Westworth Church of Christ in Westworth Village, Texas from 1962 to present. In 1962, Ken founded and was the CEO of M.K. Binkley Construction Company in Fort Worth, Texas.
A carpenter by trade, and an outgoing man of faith that enjoyed spending as much time as possible with family and friends. His love for God, family and country was evident to all who knew him. He strived to always help those in need and even financed the drilling of two water wells in Kenya through the Christian Relief Fund, one in his name and one in memory of his late wife Vera.
Ken enjoyed going bay and deep sea fishing on the coast with family, he loved to play dominoes, garden, and do yard work. He spent his leisure time documenting family history and watching the Texas Rangers.
Ken is survived by his sisters June Woodard of South Carolina, Sharon McGehee of Arkansas, and Tommie Breidenbaugh of Arkansas; his children, Bruce Binkley and wife Camella of Lake Kiowa, Randy Binkley of Laguna Park, Janet Hollars and her husband Gary of Burleson, and Debbie Highfill of Joshua. He was blessed with seven grandchildren, numerous foster grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters, a son-in-law and his wife of 65 years, Vera Louise Wade Binkley.
The family always will be grateful for the love and care given to him by the staff of Heritage Place Assisted Living & Memory Care in Burleson, Texas.
A memorial service will be held graveside at the Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth, Texas on Thursday December 10, 2020 at noon.
