Don was the loving husband of the late Esther nee Knapp; loving father of David of Florida, Deborah (Randy) Knepper of Wheaton, Jeffrey (Laura) of West Chicago, the late C. Kelly (Diana) of Florida and the late Marilyn Demetros; cherished grandfather of David (Lori), Ken (Nichole), Pam (Matt), JoAnna, Nathan (Karris), Deanna (Isaiah), Betsy, Sam, Abby, Anna and Christina; great-grandfather of 7; dear brother of Mary Jennings of Indiana; and many other relatives.
Don had lived in Winfield since 2011. Prior to that he had lived in Glen Ellyn for 30 years and Lombard from 1960-1981. He grew up in Sumner, Illinois and graduated from high school there.
Don was the current president of Forge Resources Group in DeKalb, Illinois. Don loved to fish and travel. He was a former Sunday School teacher.
Don was a long-time member of Lombard Bible Church, where he served on the board. He was the District Superintendent of Christian and Missionary Alliance for 40 years and served as the Midwest District Treasurer.
