Kelly is survived by his devoted wife, Diana, nee Franco; his loving children, David (Lori) and Ken (Nicole) Wright; his dad, Donald Jones; his cherished siblings, David Jones, Jeff Jones and Debbie Knepper; his beloved grandchildren, Devon, Jared, Austin, Dylan, and Kylie Wright; and many extended family members, a number of good friends, and many more people who were fortunate to know Kelly on his life’s journey.
Sadly, he was preceded in death by his mother, Esther, nee Knapp; and his sister, Marilyn Demetros.
Kelly was born January 20, 1961 in Elmhurst, Illinois, the proud son of Donald and Esther, nee Knapp, Jones. He grew up in Lombard and was a 1979 graduate of Glenbard East High School. Kelly also studied at Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois for a few years. While in Lombard, Kelly attended the Lombard Bible Church. As a primary career, he was the owner and manager of a steel manufacturing plant in DeKalb, Illinois. He also did some work in the real estate sector and later on was the proprietor of Tropical Hardware in Fort Myers. Kelly enjoyed and was successful at any job he decided to undertake.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 7th from 4 to 8 pm at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 8 with Mr. Kelly Lying in-State from 9:30 AM to time of Service at 10:30 AM at Lombard Bible Church, 111 South Park, Lombard.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery, St. Charles, Illinois.
