April 4, 1936 - November 26, 2020 Lloyd Chasteen, 84, of Berea died Thursday, November 26, 2020 at his residence after an illness. He was a Climax, KY (Rockcastle County) native born April 4, 1936 son of the late Robert Lee and Ethel Cole Chasteen, retired Gibson Greeting Company employee and member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
Lloyd was a master woodworker, enjoyed whittling, and was an avid trader, tinkerer and collector and he had been a resident of the Berea Area all his life. Survivors include his loving wife, Marie Isaacs Chasteen; 2 children, Regina Jackson (Charles) and Michael Chasteen; granddaughter Leah Jackson; Siblings Phyllis Alexander (Vernon), David Chasteen (Phyllis), Juanita VanWinkle; as well as numerous relatives, friends and church family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 4 siblings, Eli, Ruby, Luster and Abijah.
