Newell -- Services will be held Saturday for Helen M. Allison, 78, formerly of First Street, who died at 8:15 a.m. Thursday April 29, 1999, at City Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born in Toronto May 28, 1920, a daughter of Marko and Anna Cheleva Bobovich. A lifetime area resident, she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Allison; a daughter, Candace L. Allison; two sisters, Kate Strobel and Mary Raffa; and four brothers, Peter Bobovich, John Raffa, Mike Raffa and George Raffa. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. William (Patty) Good of East Liverpool; a son, Richard P. Allison of Newell; a sister, Eva French of Canton; 13 grandchildren and 14 great - grandchildren. Fr. Rodger Hughes and Rev. Gordon Hall will conduct a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the Dawson Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. A Rosary Service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
