Bruce proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, and married Mary Ann Marko. He was employed as a finance specialist in the Army, then at the Defense Finance Accounting Service for over 30 years. Bruce was a member of the VFW and American Legion Post #0510. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan, loved cooking and traveling with his wife, and was a gifted gardener.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Fitzgerald; son, Jon K. Fitzgerald (Andrea); brothers, Larry (Theresa) and Delmar (Thelma) Fitzgerald; granddaughter, Maya Dawn Fitzgerald; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 12 brothers and three sisters.
