Michele Suzanne (Morgan) Braun, 74, of Logansport passed away at 1:16 p.m., Monday, August 24, 2020 at Chase Center.

Born on August 6, 1946 in Jacksonville, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Betty (Ivey) Morgan of Akron, Indiana.

Michele was a 1965 graduate of Akron High School where she was a member of the Glee Club. In the winter of 1964 she was accepted into the Art Instruction Schools in Minnesota where her interests included advertising art, cover design, fashion art and figure drawing.

She met Thomas Braun who was a truck driver and loved to accompany him on many of his assignments across the U.S. They married in May 1976.

She studied cosmetology through Indianapolis College of Cosmetology. Obtaining her license through Wright’s Beauty College in Logansport, she began her career as a beautician.

Working briefly at Wilson Foods in Logansport, she joined Federal Mogul in 1994 where she worked until she retired in 2013.

For many years one thing she looked forward to was spending a week with family at the lake in Minnesota. She wasn’t much into fishing or boating but was more than happy to do her part in eating the fish that were caught. Besides enjoying the fresh fish dinner and time with family she loved relaxing on the deck, watching the waves, the amazing sunsets and the daily activities of the fishermen as they were going out and coming in.

Other hobbies included reading and shopping.

Michele earned a reputation among her neighbors as being thoughtful and giving as she would often share groceries with them.

She is survived by her son, Jamison (Lisa) Braun of West Lafayette and daughter Toni Lopez of Logansport. She was recently reunited with a daughter, Becky LaRue of Warsaw and a son, Jeff Finke of Kewanna. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren

Also surviving are 3 sisters, Denise (David) Bussard of Akron, Allison (Gene) Strevy North Manchester, Adria Martinez of Akron, and 2 brothers Jim (Jan) Morgan of Akron, Lloyd (Kathy) Morgan of Akron.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Braun and one sister, Drusilla Morgan.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.

“She is so missed and this has left many aching hearts.” – Becky LaRue
