Mr. Roy Carlton Adkins, husband of Mrs. Naomi Sines Adkins of Taneytown, died at his home late Friday night. He was 76, a son of the late Charles M. and Ida Shaffer Adkins.

He is survived by his wife and six children, Charles M Adkins of Taneytown, Russell R. Adkins of Taneytown, Mehrl C. Adkins of Union Bridge, Richard E. Adkins of Keymar, Mrs. Ruth A. Hahn of Taneytown, and Mrs. Betty V. Topper of Hanover; also surviving are 20 grandchildren, 16 great - grandchildren, four brothers, Keefer E. Adkins and Harry E Adkins of Middletown, Charles E. Adkins of Creagerstown, and Guy H. Adkins of Middletown.

He was a member of the Keymar Holiness Christian Church. Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 20, at 1 p.m. at the Holiness Christian Church in Keymar with the Rev., Charles Cramer and the Rev. Freeman officiating. Interment will be made in the Reformed Cemetery, Middletown, and friends may call at the Skiles Funeral Home Saturday, Aug. 18 and Sunday, Aug. 19 from 7 to 9 p.m
