Mr. Martin retired after 43 years of service from the State of Tennessee, Department of the Treasury.
Mr. Martin is survived by his wife of 44 years, Renee L. Martin, College Grove, TN; daughter, Georganne (Chuck) Holland, Chapel Hill, TN; sister-in-law, Betty Martin, Nashville, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Family members will receive friends on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Pam Wells, Rev. Ed Coy and Steve Adams officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee.
Greg Martin, Nate Martin, Jeff Bohan, Timothy Fleming, Troy Ledford, and Chuck Holland will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be State of Tennessee, Department of the Treasury Employees, Ed Hennessee, Tom Perry, Wyman Asbill, Richard Kelton, Jesse Nelms, Robert Nelms, Robert “Whit” Whitworth, Joe Rozell, Wayne Cook, Ronald “Pepper” Martin, and Tommy Garrett.
In Lieu of Flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Food Pantry at College Grove United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 216, College Grove, TN 37046.
In Light of the present health crisis, everyone attending either the visitation or funeral services for Mr. Martin as asked to please wear a mask.
