Harriet L. Miller, 93, formerly of Lenhartsville, died March 7, 2008, in the Laurel Center, Tilden Township, where she had resided since December 2005. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul H. Miller, on Oct. 27, 1983.

Born in Mahanoy City, she was a daughter of the late Arthur E. and Martha (Barnhart) Arndt. She was an Avon sales representative in Richmond Township from 1964 to 1996.
She was a member of New Jerusalem (Zion) United Church of Christ, Krumsville. She and her husband also were sextons of Dunkel's Church, Greenwich Township, from 1953 to 1969, and caretakers of the adjoining cemetery. Miller was an avid quilter for many groups and organizations. She was a member of the Virginville Grange and Fire Company. Miller also was on the Lenhartsville election board for many years.

She is survived by three daughters: Ruth M., wife of Robert E. Angstadt, Lenhartsville; Shirley A., wife of Ronald O. Kressley, New Tripoli; and Mildred M., wife of Carson K. Krause, Greenwich Township; and four sons: Carl P. Miller and wife, Thelma (Seigfried), Birdsboro; Donald L. Miller and wife, Sherry (Slichter), Greenwich Township; Earnest L. Miller, Northampton; and Larry R. Miller and wife, Carol (Phillips), Windsor Township. Other survivors include a sister, Beatrice Achenbach, Perry Township. There also are 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two children: Wayne H. Miller in 1937 and Patricia Miller in 1961.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home Inc., Hamburg. Burial will be in Dunkel's Cemetery, Greenwich Township. Friends may call Monday 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
