William Lewis Autrey, 70, of Stuttgart, Ark., a retired carpenter, died Thursday. Autrey was a member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church, a veteran of World War II, a quartermaster of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a member of the American Legion. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Corinth Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Frazier Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Jessie McCarthy Autrey; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann Millerd of Stuttgart; three brothers, Sam Autrey and Bruce Autrey, both of Spruce Pine, N.C., and Jack Autrey of Lenoir, N.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Beth Scoggins of Rutherford, N.C., Mrs. Ruth Baker of Spruce Pine, N.C., and Mrs. Lucy Peterson of Burlington, N.C.; and two grandchildren. – Arkansas Democrat (Little Rock, AR), Sat 16 Aug 1986
